ON-SITE-TECHNICAL-SERVICES-FOR-DRILLING1

Typical Cases

Since the establishment of the Engineering Technology Department in 2002, the company has been responsible for engineering technical services. It has hired several engineers with extensive on-site experience and has established its own engineering technical service team. The company’s independently developed oil-based drilling fluid system, polymer drilling fluid, amine drilling fluid, and low-viscosity, high-shear oil-based mud have been widely applied.

In 2003, the company began providing drilling fluid technical services to Sinopec’s Northwest Bureau, taking on drilling fluid services for ultra-deep wells such as T726 and TK1102. In 2007, the company collaborated with CNOOC to apply a new type of environmentally friendly anti-collapse drilling fluid system in the Weizhou Block of Zhanjiang, which solved the instability of wellbore walls in the Weizhou Block. In 2008, the project won the second prize in the National Science and Technology Progress Award.

In 2010, the company's solid-free polymer drilling fluid was successfully used for six ultra-short radius sidetracks on Bula Island in Indonesia. The wells were drilled multiple times without any stuck pipe issues, and the drilling tasks were completed successfully.

From 2019 to 2021, oil-based drilling fluids and KCL polymer high-performance water-based drilling fluids were applied to hundreds of wells in Sichuan shale gas fields. The high-temperature stability, lubricity, and inhibition of the system were recognized by the client, successfully replacing oil-based drilling fluids with water-based drilling fluids in shale gas wells.

In 2024-2025, the company's ultra-high temperature drilling fluid additives were successfully applied to 10,000-meter deep wells, injecting innovative momentum into China's deep-earth engineering!

Application of MEG Drilling Fluid in the He Xi Southwest Oilfield

The He Xi Southwest Oilfield has a complex geological structure, with many faults, fractured formations, and well-developed micro-fractures, making it highly susceptible to wellbore collapse, loss, stuck pipe, and other complex issues.

Our company undertook the project titled "Development of a New Environmentally Friendly Anti-Collapse Drilling Fluid System and Reservoir Protection Technology for He Xi Southwest Oilfield," which was successfully applied in well WZH6-9-3. This system demonstrated excellent lubricity, inhibition, reservoir protection, and environmental protection performance. As part of the "Safe and Fast Drilling Technology for Complex Structures in the Western South China Sea," it won the second prize in the National Science and Technology Progress Award.
